Basketball evolution

Even the NBA stars have to evolve their games, especially with roster/teammate changes and certainly with age, but it's absolutely necessary from the get-go for role players if they want to keep retaining a roster spot, as Nick Collison of the Oklahoma City Thunder writes.

An example of the philosophy/reality he is living:
"... The goal is to try to make it very difficult for your team to replace you, so that they have to do what it takes to keep you around. That's how a player creates value for himself ..."
