ESPN is offering Jerry Tarkanian coverage like no other:

Kudos to Tarkanian for his explicit evaluations in the rankings of his players.

His 'coaching tree' is limited which is actually surprising considering his success.

There is no doubt that Tark should be inducted into the Hall of Fame. He won a very high percentage of games and most of his guys played very hard, especially defensively. Yes, he brought in some guys who had no business being in college (a 'sin' committed by many in that era) and his lack of player off-the-court control was quite confounding (considering he knew who and what their baggage was coming in) but the various marks against him were replicated by many others who are held in high respect. Such as, it would be hard to keep a straight face in saying John Wooden didn't know about Sam Gilbert's financial contributions to his UCLA players.
