Holy Names University head coach Omar Sanchez announces the signing of Tahron Morrison, a 6-foot-8 forward from Fairfield, Calif. Morrison is a transfer from Solano College, and played his high school basketball at Vanden High School.
"I am extremely excited about bringing [Morrison] on to HNU," says Sanchez. "He is a solid student-athlete who brings high character, hard work, discipline and will impact our program immediately. He brings versatility to a much-needed position for us and I look forward to the opportunity to continue developing his game."
At Solano in 2013-14, Morrison averaged 7.3 points-per-game and 3.3 rebounds per game. He scored a season-high 14 points on Nov. 30, 2013 toward a 78-70 victory over Feather River College.
During Morrison's senior season at Vanden in 2011-12, the team reached the second round of the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Playoffs and finished with a 22-7 record. He received first team honors for the Solano County Athletic Conference in 2012.
