The latest on the Bay Area Warriors

Okay, it's July. With major exposure opportunities fast approaching, serious training is taking place. While Rivals and SCOUT trumpet this or that blue-chipper on a daily basis, the 99% of prospects continue on in making own their respective cases for basketball scholarships.

Right here in the Bay Area, the Bay Area Warriors are home to a number of talents who, off the court, also excel in their academics.

They include:

Jameil King, guard, 6-foot-3, Lincoln High, 2015 (quick, good skills, tremendous motor)

* Tarrez Blaylock, guard, 6-foot-2, Lincoln High, 2015 (good athlete, competes, a plus defender, an under the radar talent)

The Mustangs are coming off a 25-9 season, 14-0 in the Academic League and are expected to be tough again with these two leading the way.

* Henry Feinberg, guard, 6-foot-3, Branson School, 2016 (a real good athlete, 10.4 points per game, second on the team in 2013-14)

Branson finished 26-7 overall last season, 11-3 in the Marin County Athletic League.

* Ikenna Anigbogu, center, 6-foot-7 Gateway High, 2016 (strong body, First Team honoree in the Bay Counties - Central League)

Gateway completed conference play 8-0 last season.

* DeMar Dunn, guard, 6-foot, Salesian High, 2015 (an Honorable Mention Tri County - Rock League selection who is quick, displays a great motor and is unselfish alongside obvious great bloodlines)

Note that all these guys also come from successful high school programs. It's not a coincidence.
