Percy Allen: "Romar said Marquese Chriss began playing organized basketball in ninth grade. "He's learning," Romar said."
Percy Allen on the Washington win on Saturday.
More from Allen: "Marquese Chriss has star potential — Montana had no one who could defend the 6-8 freshman forward inside. He simply outworked the Grizzlies who fouled him repeatedly. Chriss sank 11 of 14 free throws. He also 5 of 10 from the field to finish with a game-high 22 points. Chriss collected a personal best 11 rebounds – five on the offensive glass – and had four assists. As good as he was offensively, Chriss was equally impressive on the defensive end where he committed a season-low one foul. He’s fouled out of four games and collected at least three fouls in each of the previous contests. Chriss blocked two shots and had a steal in 25 minutes."
