Appeal-Democrat: "The Yuba College men's basketball team opened the 78th annual Modesto Junior College Tournament in impressive fashion on Tuesday night, racing out to 26-point halftime lead and coasting the rest of the way en route to a 90-79 victory over Porterville.
Jojo Zamora led the way for the 49ers, scoring 17 of his team-high 24 points in the first half as Yuba built a 56-30 lead. The 49ers upped the lead to more than 30 points early in the second half before taking their feet off the gas pedal.
Manny Malou chipped in with 19 points and four blocks, Vasilije Saraba scored 19 points, and Jihad Woods recorded a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds to go with a pair of blocks in the victory."
