Wednesday: NVC 92, Merritt 86

Napa Valley College grabbed a 92-86 victory over host Merritt College on Wednesday. For the Thunderbirds, Tyrell (El Cerrito High) Alcorn led with both 31 points and five assists while teammate Tim (Freedom High) Jordan tallied 19 plus a team-best seven boards. Obie (Northgate High) Richard scored 14 points bolstered by 4-8 three-point shooting.
