No. 4 SRJC (27-5) at No. 1 San Francisco (30-0)+++++
Opening Night-November 9th
Final: San Francisco 83 SRJC 76
Who knew that would start San Francisco off on its best season ever.
That is if they can finish it off.
San Francisco has won two state championships, the first in 1962, the second two years ago.
This San Francisco team has already done something that no other team in school history has done and that is finish the regular season undefeated.
They have done it in dominating fashion. The day after they beat SRJC, they defeated Yuba 72-71. That was the only close call. The closest game since was a nine point win at Fresno 82-73.
They have kept the domination going in the playoffs. They defeated San Jose City 92-52 in round one and 101-67 over Lassen in round two. It was the fourth time this season they reached the 100 point mark.
SRJC has a ten game winning streak and has won nineteen of twenty. They started the season 4-3 and have won 23 of 25 since. The two losses were by a combined six points.
The winner moves onto to the State Final Four.
The other Nor Cal community college game tonight is Merritt College taking on San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton.
