Michigan righted its ship with a solid home win over Illinois 73-65 last night and received a major boost from a somewhat unexpected source as freshman guard Aubrey (Palo Alto High) Dawkins scored 20 points and corralled five boards in 20 minutes of play. He shot 6-7 from three-point range.
