If ever there was an opportunity for USF to grab a game against fellow West Coast Conference member St. Mary's then last night was it but the Gaels prevailed in Moraga 69-56. 52% overall shooting by Randy Bennett's guys helped carry the cause which also featured 20 assists on 27 baskets. Brad (Ponderosa High) Waldow earned another double-double with an efficient 21 points (10-15 shooting) and 10 rebounds. Desmond (Washington) Simmons came close with his 13 points and nine boards. box
