From the Napa Register:
Prolific Prep Academy, a Napa-based boys basketball team that has been competing in tournaments across the country since mid-October, will hold the second of its three weekends of home games at Napa Valley College next weekend.
At 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, Prolific Prep — which features the No. 1 junior in the country in Josh Jackson — will host Planet Athlete of Scottsdale, Ariz.
On Saturday, Jan. 31, after Planet Athlete takes on Simpson Academy of Northern California at 4 p.m., Prolific Prep will host Balboa City Schools of San Diego at 6 p.m.
Balboa has the No. 1 sophomore in the country, 6-foot-11 DeAndre Ayton.
“Ayton is a legit beast, skilled and with a strong body,” Prolific Prep founder Jeremy Russotti said. “We probably won’t be able to handle him, but it should be a good game against them and a sight to see live. This may be the biggest basketball game ever to come to Napa, and probably won’t happen again, with two No. 1’s in the same gym.”
On Sunday, Feb. 1, after Planet Athlete takes on Balboa at 10 a.m., Prolific Prep will take on Simpson Academy at noon.
The weekend is a big fundraiser for Prolific Prep. Admission will be $10 for adults and $5 for ages 18 and younger. Those wearing a neon-green Prolific Prep T-shirt, which was sold at the team’s previous home games, will get in free. More of the shirts will be sold on Friday, and would cover admission for all five weekend games.
