"The St. Patrick-St. Vincent High boys basketball team played strong defense in the fourth quarter on Friday night and ended up with a 51-39 home win over St. Joseph of Notre Dame.
The Bruins (18-4, 6-2) trailed at halftime 24-21, but outscored St. Joseph’s 16-4 in the fourth quarter to seal the win.
“Our calling card this season has been our defense and it came through for us again,” St. Pat’s head coach Derek Walker said.
Leading the way for the Bruins was Tavian Henderson, who had 18 points. Marcus Oducado had 13 points, while B.J. Standley and Romeo Mays had seven rebounds each."
