Marshall topped Coppin State 69-63 last night but in 24 minutes as a frosh backcourt starter, Sterling Smith scored seven points (3-4 shooting) plus two boards and a pair of assists.
Earlier in the week against St. Joseph's, Smith produced 11 points on 5-6 shooting while nabbing four steals.
