Let's look at the advancement of former Oakland High backcourter T.J. Taylor from his freshman to his sophomore seasons at UC Santa Barbara.
Last season: 3.1 points and 1.8 assists a game, 34% overall shooting, 29% in three-point accuracy and 73% on his free throws in 17 and a half minutes an outing.
This season:
leading the Big West Conference with both 5.9 assists a game
alongside a 3.1 assist-to-turnover ratio plus 4.2 points a contest on
47% overall shooting, 44% from long distance and 1.000% on his free
throws (4-4) in just under 22 minutes an outing.
