Utah State has three 2014 prep backcourt commits thus far:
* Henry Bolton, a 6-foot-2 combo guard
* Julion Pearre, a 6-foot-2 shooting guard
* Sam Merrill, a 6-foot-2 point who will likely performing his LDS mission after high school
Plus, 6-foot-3 two guard JoJo McGlaston (Dublin High) is entering his freshman season in Logan.
Now Yuba College backcourter Chris Smith, standing 6-foot-4 and out of Center High, just tripped to USU, the same weekend as Bolton. With two years of eligibility remaining after the 2013-14 season, will there be space for him on the roster with Mountain West Conference member Utah State?
St. Mary's and Nevada are next on Smith's recruiting itinerary.
