From Cabrillo College Men's Basketball:

"The Seahawks took to the road for the 3rd consecutive game to start the 2nd round of conference play against Hartnell College. Cabrillo enjoyed a convincing win versus Hartnell in early January and tonight would be very similar to end the month.

Hartnell knocked down a three to start the game. Cabrillo scored the next 11 points and the game never got close. Coach Tony Marcopulos inserted Johann Schmidt into the starting lineup and his effort was contagious for the entire night. Cabrillo played with a great deal of energy throughout the game, dominating the boards, sharing the ball and getting out in transition for easy scores. Latrell Wilson had a big first half scoring 20 before the break, along with Allen Wilcher's 13 Cabrillo held a 50-29 advantage.

The 2nd half Hartnell shoot the ball well from deep keeping the game from getting out of hand but the outcome was never in jeopardy. Cabrillo's lead got up to as many as 26 before Coach Marcopulos began to empty his bench to give his starters plenty of rest. As the final horn sounded Cabrillo walked away with a 94-77 victory. Seth Warfield came off the bench and scored 11 points in the 2nd half, Wilson finished with a game high 31, Wilcher had 18 and Zavon Jackson added 13 for the Seahawks."
