A 37-21 second half point differential powered Cal State Stanislaus to 61-46 opening round victory Thursday in Stockton as part of the California Collegiate Athletic Association tournament.
Stanislaus was propelled by a pair of double doubles: 13 points and 11 boards from Rob Walters plus 10 and 10 from Wes Bartole. Freshman guard Grant (Monte Vista High) Jackson posted an eight point, five assist line for Southlanders.
