What's a double in basketball? No, it's not a 2-point basket. It's winning a game in Hawaii against a team based in that state because the water all of a sudden seems warmer and the sunshine brighter. Dominican did just that on Saturday with an 88-82 overtime victory over Hawaii-Hilo.
For DU, Matt (Yuba City High) Hayes was large with 27 points (6-10 shooting from long range, Chris (Sacramento Waldorf High) Schwartz-Edmisten tallied 18 (11-12 at the foul line) and Dom (UC Riverside/Oakland High) Taplin finished with 16 points plus nine boards.
Joey (College of Marin/Casa Grande High) Rodriguez scored 29 points (8-12 overall, 5-5 from beyond the arc) to lead HP.
