Easter, Scheive and Lewis honored

"...After leading his team to a 25-4 overall mark and 9-3 record in GEL play, Marysville's Stan Easter was named co-Coach of the Year along with West Campus' Fred Wilson.

Easter took an Indians program that went 5-22 his first year in 2012-13 to two consecutive playoff appearances, ending a 10-year drought for the program.

A huge part of this year's success was senior center Erik Scheive, who was named MVP of the GEL. The 6-foot-10 Scheive averaged 16.4 points per game this year with 10.7 rebounds per contest and he blocked 3.9 shots per game.

Reigning Appeal-Democrat All-Area Player of the Year, senior point guard Danny Lewis, was named to the All-GEL first team for the second straight season..."
