Monterey - Salinas making noise

The sending of prep basketball talents to the four-year college level has been fairly dormant from the Monterey and Salinas areas. Palma's Noah Allen made the jump to UCLA recently and Frank Rogers played at USF and San Jose State University but it has been mostly a trickle.

That should be changing in the next few years as a number of prospects, especially in the backcourt, are worth tracking.

Alphabetically:

* Jamaree Bouyea, 5-foot-11, 2017, Palma High

* Jordan Graves, 6-foot-2, 2016, North Monterey County High

* Wyatt Maker, 6-foot-8, 2016, Palma High

* Parker Olin, 6-foot-2, 2017, Stevenson School

* Brad Sendell, 5-foot-11, 2017, Pacific Grove High

There is also 5-foot-10 Kobe Ordonio another 2017 talent out of Monterey High.
