The latest on the San Francisco Rebels

"The San Francisco Rebels, never to shy away from competition, made the long journey to Akron, Ohio to participate in the LeBron James Classic. The Rebels faced teams from all over the country:

Here are the results:

* 10u - Won the Silver division championship by beating Maryland Pride 36-24. Along the way the Rebels had several big wins beating the Family out of Wisconsin and beating CIA Bounce out of Canada. The Rebels lone loss was a 9 point defeat to Indiana Elite.

* 11u - Finished in third place while making a Final Four appearance. The Rebels knocked off four straight wins including beating the nationally ranked Riverside Hawks out of New York before running out of gas and falling to the Seattle Stars in the semifinals.

* 12u - Got to the Elite Eight by beating #2 ranked Team Maryland. The Rebel sgot eliminated by the #1 team in the country, The Family. The team went 5 -1 in the Gold Bracket.

* 13u - Reached the Final 4 before losing to CIA Bounce in the semis. The Rebels won three straight games by one point as poise and good decisions down the stretch contributed to their stellar showing.

The Rebels certainly represented the Bay Area well while competing at a very high level. The boys also found time to visit the NFL Hall of Fame in Canton Ohio. A great experience all around."
