UC Santa Cruz program moving forward

"In the 34 years of Men's Basketball at UCSC, the 2014-15 Slugs had the most D3 wins in a season, the longest win streak in a season, and the 2nd most overall wins in a season.  

Here are some individuals from the program who were recently honored:

James Townsend was named UCSC 2015 Male Athlete of the Year.  

James has been a three-year Captain and has been selected to the D3 All Independent team for the third season in a row. He finished his career as the only Slug ever in the career top ten for all three of the following categories:

* 3rd All time in Rebounding 

* 8th All time in steals

* 9th All time in scoring

Arnwine Jr. and Terrance honored

Marshal Arnwine Jr. was named UCSC 2015 Most Inspirational Athlete of the Year.

Also, Assistant Coach Robert Terrance was honored at the UCSC Service Recognition Ceremony. 

Coach Terrence was named the Faculty/Staff Award Winner which goes to an outstanding faculty or staff member at UCSC who has supported service-learning through teaching or mentorship on campus or in the local Santa Cruz community during the 2014-2015 academic school year."
