CCC 68, SJCC 53 (DVC tourney)

CCC Men's Basketball: "The Comets rebounded from yesterday's tough loss with a solid 68-53 victory over San Jose City College this afternoon. After a slow start in which the Comets only scored 28 points in the first half, the Comets were able to get into their uptempo style in the 2nd half. F Jeremiah Alston led all scorers with 15 points and added 5 rebounds, while G Rae Jackson added 11 points and 5 steals. F Larry Wickett played a solid floor game with 8 points, 5 rebounds, 5 steals, and 3 assists. The Comets play tomorrow at 12 o'clock for the consolation championship in the Diablo Valley College Tournament. GO COMETS!!!"

Luscious Brown led the Jags with both 18 points and eight boards. Akil Douglas was listed as playing but wasn't in the starting lineup and produced a stat line of zeroes. SJCC shot 32%.
