Appeal-Democrat: "The Yuba College men's basketball team battled against Mt. San Jacinto on Friday night, but shot a dismal 0 for 18 from 3-point range in a tough 7865 loss to the host Eagles on the second day of tournament action in San Jacinto.
The 49ers led 32-30 at halftime and played the 7Eagles tough the whole way through before being forced to foul late in the game. "It was a tough one. The game was a lot closer than the score indicated," said Yuba coach Doug
Cornelius. "We did some really good things tonight. We played super hard and we played as a team."
Manny Malou led the 49ers with 17 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks, while Vasilije Saraba added 16 points and seven boards. Jojo Zamora chipped in with 13 points, four rebounds and three assists for Yuba, which will play Riverside in the third place game today at 5 p.m."
