COM's George Johnson Named Mariner of the Month for November

"George Johnson is one of only two returners to the Men’s Basketball team in the 2015-2016 season. The point guard recently complete an excellent month of November. In nine games Johnson averaged 17.4 points per game, while shooting .388 from three point range and .823 from the free throw line. He is also averaging 3.8 rebounds per game and 3.6 assists per game in November. Against Alameda College in the CCSF tournament Johnson scored 29 points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished out eight assists in the Mariners 99-93 loss. Less than a week later against Lassen College at the Allan Hancock Tournament, Johnson again dominated with 32 points on 6-8 from beyond the arc, with three boards and five assists in a 97-84 win. Johnson is looking to lead his team to a second consecutive Bay Valley Conference Championship."
