Splash City 86, Team Charlotte 83

In a semifinal matchup on Friday in Atlanta and aided by a 44-28 first half, Splash City bested Team Charlotte 86-83. Damari Milstead led in scoring with 28 points with Joey Calcaterra adding 18 points. Chris Seeley played big via 14 points plus nine boards while Jordan Roberts also just missed a double-double at nine points and the same number of rebounds.

"Damari Milstead, in one of the more competitive individual battles on the circuit, dropped 24 points in Splash City's win over Team Charlotte on Friday night in the semifinals.

The 6-foot-2 point guard continued to get into the lane where he finishes with floaters and pull-up jumpers. He helped Splash City jump out to a double-digit lead with a few early buckets. He was also a key part of the every-changing zone defense Splash City threw at Team Charlotte, which kept the boys from Queen City quiet for the first portion of the game.

Milstead was one-point shy of matching his highest point total this week. The floor general dropped 25 points in an upset win over Louisiana Elite on Friday. He added 10 points in a quarterfinal victory over the South Jersey Jazz...

...Chris Seeley was active on the glass for Splash City, coming away with nine rebounds, while keeping several possessions alive. He also positioned himself well on the floor, typically benefiting from Milstead's penetration and passing, which resulting in Seeley finishing close at the rim. Joey Calcaterra added 18 points, closing out the game with 5-of-6 free throws in the final stretch."

Splash City will now play We R1 17U for the UAA Finals championship.
