West Valley Basketball Club: "WVB STUDENT ATHLETE UPDATE. Lucas Schmidt. The 6'10 2018 4/5 combo from MVCS posted a 20 point 25 rebound "Ugochi Anudokem" type performance. Great Job in spite of losing to Stuart Hall in the Damien Lillard classic in Oakland 57-54. Along with Archbishop Mitty standout (and son of former Cal great Al Grigsby) Riley Grigsby and some of our other noteworthy 2018 players, we should be in for an exciting season. Lucas is a stellar student and a natural athlete, excelling in baseball as well."
