Noah Allen honored

"Allen named Big West Player of the Week"

"The University of Hawai’i basketball team’s most thrilling victory of this season was recognized with a Big West Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week Award on Monday.

Senior forward Noah Allen was announced as this week’s honoree by the Big West. He scored a season-high 25 points, including the game-tying layup as time expired in regulation, in the Warriors’ record-setting 114-107 overtime victory over Long Beach State on Saturday at the Stan Sheriff Center.

Allen shot 10 for 16 from the field, and also contributed four rebounds and three assists. Hawai’i trailed 91-89 with 3.1 seconds remaining when Allen took an inbounds pass near mid-court and then drove straight to the basket for the game-tying score. He scored 20 points in the second half and overtime to lead the Warriors’ rally from a 13-point deficit midway through the second half..."
