ChicoER: "The Butte College men’s basketball team never trailed in its final contest before Golden Valley Conference play begins, routing Simpson University’s junior varsity 104-66 on Tuesday night at Cowan Gym.

Josiah Wood scored 24 points and Darae Elliott totaled 14 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Roadrunners. Josias Parker had eight assists for Butte.

The Roadrunners led 8-0 before Simpson scored. Butte enjoyed a 50-29 advantage at halftime, then scored the first nine points after the break.
