Host Sonoma State fell behind 13-0 at the beginning of the matchup with San Francisco State before roaring back to make it a game and eventually winning 55-51. It was a backcourt driven effort as David (Portland/Marin Catholic High) Ahern paced the Seawolves with 18 points followed by 15 from James (Northern Colorado/Arroyo High) Davis. Udun (Fresno City College/Roosevelt High) Osakue's 17 points and seven rebounds led the Gators. He tied for tops in assists with four.
