Former McClymonds star backcourter Will Cherry was honored with an All-Big Sky Conference first team selection:
"Despite being hampered by an ankle sprain for the final seven games of the regular season, Cherry is eighth in the league in scoring at 14.2 ppg, fourth in assists at 4.4, first in steals at 2.7, and third in assists-to-turnover ratio with 2.1 assists for every turnover.

"That says a lot about his impact on our team," [Montana Coach Wayne] Tinkle said. "If you look at scoring, steals, assists, assists-to-turnovers, he was - I think - hands down the best point guard in the league. We did miss him in some key games. His impact on our team was such that the rest of the coaches thought that highly of him.'"
