It's always a curious situation at ESPN when something substantial takes place generally off-the-court, diamond, field, etc. in the world of sports and ESPN has to scramble among his hired mouths to find someone with the necessary gravitas (and maybe intellect?) to cover it.
Bob Ley has been the go-to guy but it's empty beyond him.
