"...The win improved Cabrillo's record to 5-3 on the year and dropped Butte's record to 4-4 on the season. Cabrillo's 74 points tonight is a single game high for the season. The Seahawks were able to function much better and looked much more in sync offensively today. As a result, the Seahawks took a 38-32 lead in at the half.
The Seahawks extended their lead in the second to as much as 14 in the second and rode that lead for much of the second until Butte made a final run at the Seahawks that eventually fell short as Cabrillo shot well from the line to close out the game.
Colin Gruber led all scorers with 32 points. Phoenix Bills added 13 points and Da Karai White 11 points..."
In the championship contest, scrappy Sierra College bested De Anza College 82-72.
