CalHiSports State Stat Stars

This week's State Stat stars, at least from northern California as selected by CalHi Sports are:

Clayton Ladine (Burton, San Francisco)
For the fourth time this season, Ladine scored at least 40 points in a game with 40 during a 88-84 win over Stellar Prep of Hayward and followed it up later in the week with 32 points in a 83-49 win over Wallenberg. While we haven’t seen it reported anywhere but on MaxPreps, he is listed with a 63-point outing early this week with 11 rebounds and 10 assists in a 98-64 win over June Jordan School of Equity of San Francisco. June Jordan is reported with a handful of games this season but we haven’t heard of that school before, either. Hopefully, we’ll have more info about that game for next week’s stat stars.

and

Kyle Roach (Marin Academy, San Rafael)
Averaging 34.4 points and 9.9 rebounds per game this season, he followed up his 42-point performance to end 2014 by scoring 41 and 42 points in his first two games of 2015. The Wildcats defeated Emery of Emeryville 70-38 before losing to Stuart Hall of San Francisco 74-65. In both games, Roach recorded 10 rebounds to finish with double-doubles. We still think scoring 24 against Drake is more meaningful.

and

Stefan Mitu (Monte Vista, Danville)
He’s doing his best to keep the defending D1 state champs among the best in the Bay Area. Mitu first hit for 30 points in a 80-67 league win against Foothill of Pleasanton. Later, in a 66-64 upset of state-ranked Folsom, Mitu poured in 36 points. He is a 6-foot-1 senior guard.

and

Marquese Chriss (Pleasant Grove, Elk Grove)
Showing why he is a big-time recruit and is headed to Washington, the 6-foot-8 standout put on a show on Saturday afternoon at the Father Barry Tribute at Jesuit in Carmichael. Chriss scored 36 points, grabbed 14 rebounds and blocked six shots during a 59-56 win over Berkeley.

and

Srivinay Irrinki (Harker Academy, San Jose)
It was a night of sweet shooting for Irrinki when the Eagles beat The King’s Academy of Sunnyvale 87-71. The San Jose Mercury-News Athlete of the Week went 9-for-9 on free throws, made eight 3-pointers and ended with 35 points and seven assists. It also is the second 35-point game for Irrinki this season.

and

Armoni Rivers (Jesuit, Carmichael)
He scored a season-best 31 points as the Marauders defeated Freedom of Oakley 82-78 in overtime at their own Father Barry Tribute played last Saturday.
