At the Kaiser Permanente Arena downtown, host UCSC topped Menlo College Thursday night 62-59. Menlo athletics game reports.

For the Slugs, James (Sacramento High) Townsend led with 17 points and hit the game-winning trey at the end. Teammate Tyler (Bella Vista High) Berkness totaled 14 and Kyle (Whitney High) Creighton was tops in rebounding with eight.

Mikey (College Park High) Eggleton paced the Oaks with 11 points plus six rebounds. Dylan (Sonoma Valley High) Severson finished with eight points and seven boards.
