The Monterey Herald: "The Palma High basketball team did all it could to hang with Mitty (San Jose) in its Central Coast Section Open Division quarterfinal matchup on Friday, but the Chieftains fell short with a 63-55 loss at Wilcox High in Santa Clara. No. 6 Palma (21-4) trailed most of the game, but kept No. 3 Mitty within striking distance. Jack Brusa cut the deficit to four when he drained a 3-pointer with two minutes left, but the Monarchs managed to hang on.

Brusa led the Chieftains with 12 points, while Wyatt Maker added 11. Josh Keselicka scored nine points. Ben Kone, the West Catholic Athletic League MVP, scored 30 points and pulled down 12 rebounds for Mitty."
