On Delon Wright after Utah pasted Arizona St. on Thursday

Delon Wright's big night

"It's going to be tough to choose.

The off-the-glass block. The steal-and-dunk. The block-and-dish. The no-look-assist. Other plays that require hyphens.

Which one do you put at the front of the highlight reel?

It was only 21 minutes for Wright, but memorable at that. On the same day Utah revealed a "Swipe Wright" campaign for the senior guard fronted by a cartoon caricature of his face, he reminded a crowd of 14,185 why he's worth campaigning for. Finishing with 12 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and 3 blocks, one wonders what he might've accomplished had he been competing all game long in a tight one.

Larry Krystkowiak stopped short of saying Wright is the best player in the Pac-12 — "that's a standard I think other people will determine," he said — but wasn't shy about putting out a little praise as well.

"We’ve known what we had for a couple of years," he said. "He is not concerned whether he is perceived as the best player in the conference. He is doing things the right way."
