Up in Stockton in a California Collegiate Athletic Association Friday semifinal matchup, it was tied at 35 between Chico State and Cal State Stanislaus after the initial 20 minutes before the former pulled away for a 72-60 triumph.
For the Wildcats, Robert Duncan played big with 23 points (9-12 shooting) and Jordan Semple filled the stat sheet despite not registering a basket. He supplied nine points, eight boards and four blocked shots in 27 minutes. Coach Greg Clink's guys shot 57% overall, won the boards battle 37-22 but incurred 21 turnovers
Chris Read paced CSS with 12 points (6-12 shooting) and also four steals.
It's Chico versus Cal Poly Pomona for the tournament championship tonight.
