Miller & McConnell on Ashley's play

Bruce Pascoe:

Both Miller and McConnell praised the aggressiveness and effort of Brandon Ashley, who tied his career-high of 21 points while shooting 8 for 12 from the field and making 5 of 6 free throws. He also had six rebounds, two assists, a block and a steal.

“Brandon can bring energy to a team that already has energy,” Miller said. “He is at his best when he’s very aggressive and tonight he was very aggressive. Brandon missed a lot of last season, so some of that development, of 'how does this work for me?’, he’s finding it out this year maybe instead of at the end of last year.

“But no doubt, we encourage him to be aggressive. He was a physical player tonight and he’s a much better player when he plays like that for us.”
