In Turlock on Friday, Cal State Stanislaus bested Cal State Monterey Bay 68-61. Joey (Los Banos High/Notre Dame de Namur) Bennett scored 14 points and grabbed four boards for the victors.
For the Otters, freshman Steven (Sacramento High) Matthews led with both 17 points and six assists. He shot 5-9 from three-point range.
