Merritt's last two games

On Friday, College of Marin downed Merritt College 98-87 powered by a 54-44 second half. Tyrell (El Cerrito High) Alcorn paced the Thunderbirds with 24 points and D.J. (Pittsburg High) Kennedy tallied 17 points.

Last Tuesday, Merritt College and Napa Valley College paired off in the wine country with the former winning in overtime 98-94. D.J. (Pittsburg High) Kennedy led with 29 points, Matthew Williams scored 15, Tyrell (El Cerrito High) Alcorn 14 and Malik (Deer Valley High) Thompson posted a 10 point, 10 rebound double-double. The Thunderbirds shot 30-40 at the foul line.
