Need more Nor Cal talents on the Nor Cal D1 college teams

Let's not call it a complaint, actually more just an explanation of the circumstances. If Jordan Ratinho doesn't have a highlight game for USF or Gary Williams Jr. and/or Terrell Brown for San Jose State University or Akil Douglas for Santa Clara, well, it's hard to write about any of these programs come the conclusion of their games because there is no northern California player connection.

The Dons are bringing in Souley Boum so that will increase the odds for future USF writeups but San Jose has a kid from Arizona arriving and the Broncos have three November signees but none from anywhere near the Golden State.

Venturing further out, Sacramento State has five scholarship talents from northern California but this season so far it's on Eric Stuteville and Jiday Ugbaja to have solid games in order to generate a report.

With UC Davis, it's currently Darius Graham and J.T. Adenrele as the sole candidates for memorable stat lines.

Pacific has enjoyed its Modesto Christian High connection -- T.J. Wallace, Anthony Townes, Ray Bowles -- plus Sami Eleraky out of City College of San Francisco, so the Tigers sport the best odds.

St. Mary's has Jordan Ford but his playing time is going limited this season and possibly next.

So selfishly:

To the coaches - please shop local and regional as much as possible.

To the players - make it impossible for a Nor Cal college coach not to offer and please strongly consider staying local or regional.
