"The Butte College men’s basketball team opened the Northern California Regional playoffs with a road win over Sacramento City College.
The No. 9 Roadrunners defeated eighth-seeded Sac City 78-63 Friday night with Josiah Wood leading the way with 24 points.
Nemanja Kovacevic provided 12 points, and Carlos Costa scored 11 for Butte (20-8).
The Roadrunners jumped out to a 34-21 lead at halftime by outscoring the Panthers 14-6 to close out the first half.
Butte will play the winner between Cabrillo and City College of San Francisco on March 4."
