Purdue 72, St. Mary's 69

Purdue held off a late rally by St. Mary's to win 72-69 and advance to the second round of the NCAAs. Rob Jones completed his college play with a double-double consisting of 23 points and 14 rebounds.

St. Mary's handles Gonzaga (again)

Rob Jones' 18 points, nine rebounds and three steals, 13 points and eight boards from Brad Waldow, plus three points and a pair of rebounds from Beau Levesque in 10 minutes helped power St. Mary's to the WCC tournament championship over Gonzaga by the score of 78-74. The Gaels are Big Dancin'.

St. Mary's wallops Portland

St. Mary's had zero trouble with Portland to the tune of 70-43 as Rob Jones post a 12/13 double-double.

St. Mary's falls to LMU

St. Mary's got whomped at home by Loyola Marymount to the tune of 75-60 -- this despite 25 points and 15 boards from Rob Jones. 

St. Mary's has no trouble with SC

St. Mary's bounced right back defeating Santa 82-67 powered by 25 points and 12 boards from Rob Jones. Brad Waldow contributed eight points, seven boards and three blocked shots. Niyi Harrison posted 12 markers and six rebounds for the Broncos. SC's Kevin Foster again did not play.

St. Mary's over San Diego

It was another win for the host Gaels, 84-73, last night against San Diego as Rob Jones scored 28 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Brad Waldow went for 10/5. Ken Rancifer scored 12 points for the Toreros.

The game being in Provo didn't matter as St. Mary's won for the second time this season against BYU 80-66 -- this despite 24 turnovers. Redshirt freshman Brad Waldow led with 19 points (8-10 shooting) and eight boards while Rob Jones contributed 13 and nine. Brandon Davies, who had his way in the last meeting between these two teams with 28 points, shot 6-18.

Rob Jones posted an 11/15 double-double and Brad Waldow contributed 10 points and four rebounds in St. Mary's 71-64 road win versus Loyola Marymount.

It was visiting St. Mary's 93-77 over Santa Clara behind twin double doubles by Brad Waldow 14/16 (eight offensive, eight defensive) and Rob Jones 14/15. Niyi Harrison wasn't too shabby himself with a 23/9 Bronco evening.

Matthew Dellevadova led with 27 points and Rob (Riordan High) Jones totaled 19 and nine in leading St. Mary's to a 15 point victory the Dons.

USF was paced by Angelo (Archbishop Mitty) Caloiaro's 20 plus. He added three assists and three steals.
