Kyle Vasher led five players in double figures with 21 points as the Panthers improved to 4-2 in the Coast Conference. John Fairell added 20 points for Hartnell, hitting 9-of-10 from the field. Daryl Thomas finished with 16, Preston Anderson 12 and Tanner Apeland 11.
MPC 77 West Valley College 63
Mitch Philp led four players in double figures with 23 points Wednesday as the Monterey Peninsula College men's basketball team won its fifth straight game with a 77-63 win over West Valley. After an 0-2 start in the Coast Conference, the Lobos are 5-2 and sit a half-game in front of Hartnell for second place. Julian Demalleville added 15 points and eight assists for MPC, who opens the second half of the season on Friday at San Jose City College. Quinczy Spencer and Alex Brandon each ad 13 points.
