Now Darius Nelson doesn't appear on the UTEP roster -- he was listed yesterday. Plus, someone has posted in response to our earlier entry that Darius left the Miner program.
At the Rivals UTEP site, a string is posted on the MB about his having departed.
This is the first post: "According to Phil Johnson [the top assistant] on the post game show, Nelson was upset that he didn't play on Friday and quit."

Apparently he was unhappy that he did not see any action in the first game and quit. There are some people saying that he did not want to work as hard on his defensive game as Floyd wanted him to and there was a disconnect between the two because of this. Those are just rumors though. Floyd has always been a defense first coach, and unfortunately most kids today are the opposite.
