More on Desmond Simmons

Jason McCleary offers some commentary on former Salesian High star Desmond Simmons, now a redshirt freshman at Washington:

"... Displaying a knack for rebounding, Simmons finished with six boards. Some people are comparing Simmons' rebounding to former Husky Jon Brockman. Despite playing only 15-minutes, Desmond led the team with two steals, with six boards and it seemed like Romar pulled him because he felt that he didn't need him to keep the game under control and could afford to play some of the younger players. What is most impressive about Simmons is that he is one of the younger players, only a freshman. He has a very bright future at Washington ..."
