A Will Davis-less UC Irvine still had enough to down host UC Riverside Saturday night 72-52. In Davis' place, sophomore Mike Best produced nine points, nine boards and five blocked shots while backcourt teammate Chris McNealy closed with 13 points plus five rebounds. Travis Souza concluded the contest with nine points on 3-4 from long distance.
For the Highlanders, Taylor Johns posted a line consisting of 10 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and two blocked shots.
