Cabrillo College Men's Basketball game reports:
The Cabrillo College Men's Basketball team was able to finish the first round of conference play with a perfect 6-0 record after a convincing 83-50 victory over Gavilan College. After a slow start to the game, Latrell Wilson came off the bench to knock down five threes in the first half, and David Abittan picked up where he left off hitting five of his own, four in the second half as Cabrillo shot 16-33 from downtown and cruised to the victory.
Abittan would lead all scorers with 17 points, Warren Jackson did most of his damage in the first half and finished with 16 points, Wilson tallied 15 and Allen Wilcher added 14 for a balanced scoring night for Cabrillo. The win improves Cabrillo to 15-6 on the season, 6-0 in conference play.
Up next is the second round of Coast Conference play, Cabrillo will travel to Hartnell College on Friday to take on the Panthers, Friday night at 7pm.
