* Cabrillo College 77 - DeAnza College 57

After a slow start to the game the Seahawks turned up the energy in the 2nd half and ran away with the game downing visiting DeAnza College (Cupertino) 77-57.
The early part of the game was a back and forth affair with each team taking turns with the lead. As the half wound down Cabrillo got up as much as 11 on multiple occasions but DeAnza would answer each Cabrillo run. The Seahawks took a 35-33 lead into the break. DeAnza would tie the score on their first possession of the 2nd half, Warren Jackson would answer for the Seahawks with back to back lay-ups and Cabrillo would never look back. Jackson had another big night finishing with 23 points to lead all scorers. Allen Wilcher finished with 16 points and Zavon Jackson would chip in 11 on then night.
The win improves Cabrillo to 14-6 on the season, 5-0 in Coast Conference play. Up next for the Seahawks will be a road contest vs. Gavilan College on Wednesday, January 29 at 7pm.

For CRC, AJ Bridges finished with 23 points plus eight assists, Jaycob Velasco totaled a 14 point/12 rebound double-double, David Straughter 13/12 and TJ Williams 12/10.

Yuba plays and wins ugly but a win is a win...leading most of the game by 20, Solano never quit and the 49'ers got out of Fairfield with a 80-70 win. Yuba improves to 9-0 in conference and 15-4 overall. Yuba was led by Barry Ogalue with 17 points, Chris Smith chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds and Floyd Wormley continued his solid play with 16 points and 6 rebounds. Yuba comes back home for one of its only 3 home games left Wednesday against a good Contra Costa College team. See you there!
